烏鴉與渡鴉的寓言故事

　　一只烏鴉非常妒忌渡鴉，因?yàn)槎渗f被人類(lèi)當(dāng)做一種能預(yù)測(cè)未來(lái)的神鳥(niǎo)，故而得到了人類(lèi)的尊散。烏鴉十分羨慕，也想得到同樣的聲望。有一天，看見(jiàn)幾個(gè)行人路過(guò)，她便飛到路邊的一棵樹(shù)上，用力地大聲叫了起來(lái)。聽(tīng)到烏鴉的聲音，行人都很郁悶，他們擔(dān)心這是一個(gè)不好的預(yù)兆。其中一個(gè)人看到了烏鴉，就對(duì)同伴說(shuō)：“沒(méi)事了，朋友們，我們可以不用擔(dān)心了，因?yàn)檫@是一只烏鴉，沒(méi)什么特別的。”

　　A Crow became very jealous of a Raven，because the latter was regarded by men as a bird of omen which foretold the future，and was accordingly held in great respect by them.She was very anxious to get the same sort of reputation herself;and，one day,seeing some travellers approaching，she flew on to a branch of a tree at the roadside and cawed as loud as she could.The travellers were in some dismay at the sound，for they feared it might be a bad omen；till one of them，spying the Crow,said to his companions，“It’S all right，my friends，we can go on without fe ar.for it’S only a crow and that means nothing.”
